This program meets the requirements for ASE Education Foundation Level Inspection, Maintenance, and Minor Repair Accreditation. The two-year program will prepare students for an entry-level Diesel Technician position. The program provides entry-level skills and knowledge in all phases of diesel equipment repair, preventative maintenance, personal and shop management, parts work for transportation, construction, mobile and stationary diesel equipment applications. Students have an opportunity to earn an ASE entry-level certification (Diesel Engines, Steering & Suspension, Electrical/Electronic Systems & Brakes) & an Inspection, Maintenance, and Minor Repair certification.

Instructor

Mr. Stafford worked for Dean Machinery and Diamond International Trucks for nineteen years. He became an instructor at NCC in 2008 and is an ASE Master Medium/Heavy Truck Technician. In 2012 & 2020, he received the Northland Chamber of Commerce Excellence in Education Award.
