The Construction Technology students receive their OSHA 10 and Carpentry Level 2 and 3 certifications. Construction occupations, including home building and light commercial construction, are the basis of the program. Classroom instruction involves the introduction of technical information pertaining to the building trades industry, including the construction of various projects in the Northland. Students spend much of their time in the shop, practicing and building projects, where safety is our first priority.

Mr. Blankenship has been in the construction industry for more than ten years, performing a vast array of work in building construction, HVAC electrical and plumbing. Mr. Blankenship has owned his own HVAC/Construction company since 2008.

12 hours of articulated credit towards an Engineering Technology field is available through MWSU after students complete 2 years at NCC and enroll at MWSU

Construction Apprenticeship Program

Advanced wage scale placement is available in the Construction Apprenticeship Program through the Builders’ Training Center
