The Industrial Welding program provides the opportunity to develop competence in welding procedures and practices. Students who successfully complete the program will have an opportunity to take the Welder Performance Qualification test as established by the American Welding Society and the D1.1 Structural Welding Code-Steel.

PROGRAM INSTRUCTOR

Mr. Sample Mr. Sample is a certified combination welder and experienced welding instructor with over 13 years of expertise in welding, fabrication, construction, and education. He holds certifications in all major welding processes under AWS D1.1 and ASME Section IX, with approximately 22,000 hours of hands-on welding experience. Doug is highly skilled in blueprint interpretation and pipe welding, and has a strong track record in both teaching and curriculum development. He earned an Associate degree in Welding Technology from Johnson County Community College and completed advanced training in pipe welding and fitting at the Missouri Welding Institute.

 NWSU College Credit

12 hours of articulated credit towards an engineering technology field is available through Missouri Western State University after students complete 2 years at NCC and enroll at MWSU.
